Top 30 Horror -- Since 1990

So a few representatives from a very cool horror collective invited me to participate in a big, swanky poll. But only after I asked them if I could participate and they said "yup." The question for me -- and lots of other VERY well-informed horror lunatics -- was this:

Best Horror Films EVER. (1990 -- present) So here's the final list! And then you can scan down and see what I picked ... while scratching your head over the fact that Halloween H20 made the list and MAY did not. Gwargh.

Most of mine fall from 2000 to present, but it's not my fault the '90s mostly sucked for horror.

It's Kevin Williamson's.

For the most part, Weinberg, this is a great list. (Brad Anderson and Session 9!)

But Martyrs? Really? Most of it was soooo good, but the extended torture sequence towards the end was just plain tedious to me - tedious enough to ruin the whole thing.

I'm slowly digging through every single one of your archived horror reviews, btw, and updating my renting queue accordingly. Keep it up!

Happy to see Ravenous on that list. Such an underseen film that's really pretty fantastic. And the soundtrack? One of my all time favorites. Kudos sir.
